Fight Club Emmaus
An online course where any two men can journey towards Christ in freedom.
A Walk Toward Freedom, Brotherhood, and Christ
“Were not our hearts burning within us while he spoke to us on the way and opened the Scriptures to us?”
— Luke 24:32
The Fight Club Emmaus course is a one-on-one Catholic accountability journey for young men seeking freedom from pornography, sins of the flesh, screen/social media addiction, and most importantly, seeking to become men fully alive in Christ.
The course is inspired by the story of the disciples on the road to Emmaus. After the Resurrection, two disciples were walking together when Jesus joined them on the road, though they did not initially recognize Him. Along the way, Jesus opened the Scriptures to them. Later, they recognized Him in “the breaking of the bread.” Their journey was not simply about reaching a destination. It was about learning to recognize Jesus walking with them.
Fight Club Emmaus follows that same pattern.
To walk together. To encounter Christ in His Word. To encounter Him in the Eucharist. And as you walk, your hearts are gradually transformed.
This is why the course is built around a one-on-one accountability partnership. You are not meant to fight alone. Each man is paired with another brother who commits to walking with him throughout the course. Together, you will work through the material, have honest conversations, pray for one another, and hold one another accountable to the commitments you make.
The goal is not simply to achieve a certain number of days without falling into grave sin. The goal is freedom. Freedom from slavery to sin. Freedom to love. Freedom to fight for your bride. Freedom to pursue holiness. Freedom to become the man God created you to be.
Throughout the course, you will explore practical and spiritual foundations for living a life of purity and holiness, including prayer, Scripture, the Rosary, accountability, Theology of the Body, and the pursuit of Christ Himself.
What to Expect
Fight Club Emmaus is designed to be both structured and relational.
Each week, you and your accountability partner will work through a portion of the course material and meet for a one-on-one conversation. You will discuss what you are learning, examine how you are actually living it, and establish practical commitments for the week ahead.
You should expect to:
Work through the assigned course material (30 min -1 hour weekly for 12 weeks)
Meet regularly with your accountability partner
Be honest about your struggles and progress
Pray for and with your brother
Complete weekly practical challenges
Develop a personal “Why I Fight”
Establish and refine your personal Battle Plan
Pursue the Sacraments and deeper prayer
Pray with the Daily Mass readings at least three times a week and go to Daily Mass once more per week than you usually go to
Encourage and challenge one another toward holiness
This course requires commitment, vulnerability, and consistency. Your accountability partner is not your judge, therapist, or savior. He is your brother in the fight. The two of you are walking together toward the same destination: deeper friendship with Jesus Christ.
At the end of the road, the goal is not simply to look back and say, “I stopped doing this sin.”
The goal is to be able to say:
“I know Christ more deeply. I love Him more completely. I have become more free. And I am learning to live as the man He created me to be.”
That is the road to Emmaus.
